Prefer FHIR, HL7, C-CDA and NCPDP over one-off formats. Less custom work means fewer surprises later.
Collect only what you need
Limit data to the purpose at hand. Less data means less risk.
Build privacy in from day one
Consent, access control and audit logs are designed in early, not added at the end.
Keep a person in the loop
For medication and clinical decisions, AI supports the clinician or pharmacist. It does not replace them.
